SIPSMITH - Creation of the Martini Express

The Challenge:

Convert a vintage bus into a premium bar and lounge for festivals, events, and activations in central London. The lounge should have a members-club feel and accommodate up to 12 guests, while the bar must be exterior-facing and suited for high footfall events.

The Solution:

The Martini Express—A 1955 Bristol L bus, steeped in British heritage, was purchased, stripped, and refurbished. It featured a dual-aspect copper and green marble cocktail bar, green velvet banquet seating, low lighting, and a herringbone floor. The lounge hosted masterclasses, while the exterior bar served Sipsmith martinis and cocktails.
